Nikhil Sharma

Nikhil Sharma is a Ph.D. student in Operations and Business Analytics at the Fisher College of Business. He earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Maharshi Dayanand University in India. Prior to joining Fisher, he worked for Accenture as an IT consultant. During his tenure of 12 years, Nikhil developed cross-functional expertise across Consulting, Business Analytics, and Operations areas with broad industry exposure across Financial Services; Life Sciences; Communication, Media & Technology; and Health & Public Services industries. He collaborated with his colleagues – on the “Innovate for Society” initiative by Accenture and became the only team to reach the Top 5 in the North America region twice (2018 and 2019) among more than 350 entries. His research interest lies in exploring Transparency in Operations (Supply Chain, Sustainability, and Healthcare) and understanding disruptions in Operations caused by new industry trends such as ChatGPT, Precision Medicine, and Data Confidentiality.

Beyond his research, Nikhil enjoys playing badminton, cricket, and table tennis. He is originally from New Delhi, India.
